Payment Policy Set Payment Information: Go to "Me Page" -> My Wallet -> Change -> Choose bank card or Payoneer -> Fill in the information Payday: A day within the 1st - the 7th of every month Payment Floor: If you have less than ¥200 in your wallet on the payday, your income cannot be withdrawn and it will be accumulated into your next month salary. If you have less than ¥200 in “My Wallet”, your income cannot be withdrawn under any circumstance, including deactivating account. Payment Fee: Bank card or Payoneer may charge a transaction fee. Please contact your bank or Payoneer for more information. Payment Currency: Chinese Yuan for bank card and USD for Payoneer Check Transactions: Me -> My Wallet Note: Please make sure you have provided PalFish with the correct Payment information. If you have any questions or concerns regarding to payments, please message “PalFish Team(T)”. According to Chinese government policies, your bank card has to pass the real-name authentication. If your Payoneer is linked to a Chinese account, we will not be able to send your salary. PalFish Platform Fee PalFish charges a Platform Fee for App constructions and other improvements. The platform fee on PalFish is, on average, 30% lower comparing with other similar Apps, • You will receive 100% of your scheduled class no-show compensation and PalFish Live Class. • You will receive 100% of your overall income from PalFish Live Class Replay and PalFish Live Class Red Pocket Money. • You will receive 80% of your overall income from PalFish Freetalk and PalFish Lesson.

PalFish Freetalk • How can I set my tuition rate? • Go to "Me" Page -> "Set your rate" -> Choose which rate you want to change. • The rate for FreeTalk of Official Course Teachers will be changed to ¥5/minute automatically when one has become an Official teacher. The rate can be adjusted to no less than ¥1.5/minute for Official Course Teachers. • How can I set a discount rate for a particular student? • The student has to be someone who has taken your classes before. Go to "Me" Page -> “My students” -> Find the student that you want to set the discount rate to -> “Click the “pencil” -> Set the rate -> DONE. • The lowest exclusive rate for Official Course Teachers can set now is ¥1/minute. • Can I listen to my class recording? How? • Go to "Me" Page -> “Lesson Recording” -> Choose the class you want to listen to. • Will the Freetalk be "Voice call" or "Video call"? • By default, it is voice call. However, you may change it by: Go to “Me" Page -> Click the “Setting” button on the right-top side -> Call type preference. You may also simply hit "Open Web Cam" during a call. • Why am I unable to change my tuition rate? • You may only change your rate twice per month. • Are students allowed to post class recordings on my main page? • Yes. Since the students have payed for your class, they have the right to do so. If you feel unconformable with it, you could talk to the students in advance, asking them not to post class recordings. • What should I do if a student kept harassing me? • You could block the student by: Going to his/her main page -> Click the “···” on the right top -> Block. PalFish will block the student permanently if he/she has been blocked by multiple of teachers. PS: After blocking the student, he or she can still follow you and see and comment your post in the moment.

PalFish Lesson PalFish Lesson is a fantastic way for you to secure long-term students. It’s pretty much the same as “PalFish Freetalk”, but it’s more like a contracted one. If a student buys your Lesson, he/she will prepay all the tuition to PalFish. The tuition is, for most of the times, cheaper than “PalFish Freetalk”(At a discount rate). FAQ Section • How can I create a Lesson? • Go to "Me" page -> “Lessons” -> Click the “+” sign on the top right corner • Freetalk packages • Teachers can edit description, price or delete the lessons according to your needs. • What other advantages does Lesson have? • By reading through your Lesson Introduction, students will know what they will get throughout the course. • How to sticky your lessons and how to make your lessons in a certain order? • 1. On iOS phone, swipe the lesson left and you will see the option. On Android phone, long press the lesson and you will see the option.2. If you want to make your lessons in a certain order, you can sticky them one by one. • How long does the Lesson verification process take? • Two business days • How much should I charge for each lesson • The Lesson is usually cheaper than your regular rate. For example: If you charge ¥1 per minute and the Lesson is 60 minutes. The Lesson tuition should be less than ¥60. The lowest price for lessons and seminars created by teachers will be changed to 30 RMB per lesson/seminar minimum. • Can a lesson to be conducted through multiple lessons? • Yes, and there will be a timer where you can see the remaining time. • How will I get payed? • For Example: If you have a 60 minutes Lesson, and the Lesson tuition is ¥30, you will receive ¥30/60mins * (class duration) * 0.8(platform Fee) after every call • Does the Lesson has validity? • Yes, it does. For Lessons less than or equal to 10 hours, the validity is 60 days. For Lessons longer than 10 hours but less than or equal to 30 hours, the validity is 90 days. For Lessons longer than 30 hours but less than or equal to 60 hours, the validity is 120 days. • Why should I open my time slots? • Due to the fact that students need to book time slots with teacher after they've purchased lessons but some teachers do not open their time slots, lessons created by teachers who do not open time slots will not be listed in recommended lesson lists anymore. Student can only purchase on teachers' mainpage. If a teacher did not hit 'start tutoring' button in the past 7 days, then their lessons will be stopped selling automatically. • What if the Lesson is unfinished and expired? • It's your responsibility to make sure this situation does not happen. Students are not allowed to use the remaining part once the Lesson is expired, and you will not be paid with the remaining tuition. • How can I prevent the above situation from happening? • A PalFish Lesson is a commitment to the students that you are able to teach them for a long period. You need to contact the students often, and open up some scheduling sections for them. • Suggestions: • Make sure your Lesson has a specific theme, and you need to write out the theme in detail, so that the students will know what knowledge they will get from the Lesson. • Notes: • PalFish teachers hold full responsibility of using legitimate materials. PalFish will not be responsible for any copyright or other issues related to the materials teachers use on this platform.PalFish Teachers cannot, during any circumstances, ask students for requesting a refund for the Lesson. PalFish will ban the teacher from a week to permanent regarding to the situation.

PalFish Live Class You can teach multiple students at the same time during a PalFish Live Class. Students will be charged an admission fee. After the class, there will be a “replay” function available. If a student buys the replay, you will be paid too! Students are allowed to watch 2 minutes of you Live Class for free, after which, they will need to pay the full admission fee. It’s also a great way to attract more followers and students! FAQ Section • How can I start a Live Class? • Go to "Main Page" -> Live -> "+" button on the right top • How can I see other teachers' Live Class? • Go to "Main Page" -> Live List • How can I cancel my Live Class? • Unfortunately, you are NOT allowed to do that. If you are having an emergency, please send a message to PalFish Team(T) for assistance. Otherwise, you cannot cancel a Live Class. • Could I get disqualified from Live Class? • If you don't show up for three times, you will get disqualified. • Are students allowed to talk during my Live Class? • Yes, they are allowed to send out text messages. • When will I receive my Live Class tuition? • Usually within 25 hours. • Are there any suggestions regarding PalFish Live Class? • Creating Live Class 5 days in advance usually attracts more students. If you are a new teacher who doesn't have a lot of followers, we suggest you to start your first couples of Live Classes for free, so that more students will come, and you will get more followers. • Am I allowed to delete my Live Class recording? • Unfortunately, no. Students who have paid for your Live Class are allowed to watch your Live Class replay for multiple of times. They will not be able to do that if the replay is deleted. "Replay" function is provided by a third-party company. PalFish will not hold any responsibility if a technical problem happened and caused some inconvenience.

Other Functions Groups You can create a group with your students, and talk to them within the group often. It's a great opportunity for students to remember who you are. FAQ Section • How do I create a group? • Go to “Message Page” -> “+” button on the right top corner -> Create Group • How do I join a group? • Go to “Message Page” -> “+” button on the right top corner -> Search Group -> Enter group name or number • Can I mute the group? • Yes. Go into the group -> Click the “People” sign on the right top corner -> Mute Notifications • What is a PalFish Official Group? Are there rules regarding to the group? • PalFish Teacher’s Group is a public space. Please respect each other and refrain from using inappropriate languages. Laughing at a particular teacher or student is strictly prohibited. PalFish Teacher’s Group serves as a place where teachers can communicate to each other about their teaching experience and help each other out. Complaining about the App in the group is not allowed. If you have any concerns regarding to the App, please message PalFish Team(T) directly. In order for PalFish Team to manage the group conveniently and successfully, a PalFish teacher is only allowed to join ONE PalFish official group. Thank you for your cooperation. PalFish reserves the right to move a teacher from a group without any warnings, if violation has been confirmed.Note: PalFish has the right to oversee the conversations within every group, and we reserve the right to dismiss a group. Rating System After each class, students are able to rate your “Attitude”, “Quality” and “Helpfulness”. You are able to see your overall ratings, but you will not be informed with which student give you what rate. FAQ Section • How could I check my ratings? • Go to "Main Page" -> "Ratings" • What should I do if my rating dropped? • If your rating goes down by 0.1, chill! But at the same time, you should talk to your students, and ask for their suggestions. Perhaps the student had difficulty in understanding your languages or did not feel comfortable within the class. You may speak slowly and clearly and use the messaging function to type any words they do not understand. You should also constantly encourage your students.

Scheduling System Had you ever scheduled a class with a student but he/she did not show up? Are you afraid you will not be compensated for your time? Use the scheduling system. Students have to put ¥10 as deposit when they book a class with you! FAQ Section • How does the scheduling system work? • After you opening some time slots, students are able to see when you are available and book a class with you. You will get notified through a message when a student has done so. • How can I open up time slots? • Go to “Me Page” -> Appointments -> Click the “Calendar” Icon on the right top corner. • Do I need to worry about time difference? • No. All the time will be automatically adjusted to the student’s time zone. However, DST may affect time calculation • Compensation Rules: 1.​Students and teachers can cancel a scheduled class more than 3 hours in advance without any penalties. 2.​If students cancel a scheduled class within 3 hours of the class starting time, students will compensate the teacher¥5. Same for teachers, but the fine will be ¥10. 3.​If students are more than 5 minutes late, or if they are absent for a scheduled class, they will compensate the teacher ¥10. Same for teachers, but the fine will be ¥20. (E.g.: If you have a scheduled class at 6pm, you have to be online from 6:00 - 6:05, in order to receive the compensation money.) 4. If you cancel / No-show a scheduled class, even if you cancelled the class more than 3 hours in advance, the compensation money you have to pay for the NEXT time will be increased by ¥5. This rule also applies to students: the compensation money they have to pay for the next time will be increased by ¥2. 5. Your compensation money to pay will be decreased by ¥5 if you show up for scheduled classes on time. This rule also applies to students: the compensation money they have to pay will be decreased by ¥2. PalFish Title You can set your title by going to "Me Page" ->" My Profile" -> "Teaching Certificate", the blank at the top of the page. Title Example: Harvard Graduate | TOEFL Teacher PalFish may ask you to provide certificates. Thank you for your cooperation. Auto-reply Message You can set your Auto-reply Message by going to "Me Page" -> Edit -> Auto-reply Message It will be send to students who try to talk to you. You could encourage the student to book a lesson with you in the recorded message. The recording is recommended to be 20 seconds

PalFish Malfunction Are you experiencing some system malfunction? Don't worry, read the follow section. FAQ Section • How to deal with “Untrusted Enterprise Developer”? • If you are using iOS, please go to: Settings -> General -> Profiles -> XiaoChuan… -> Trust -> DONE • What should I do if the student couldn't hear me? • If this is your first class, please make sure you have authorized PalFish to use your microphone. • What should I do if I could not hear the student? • If this is his/her first class, please make sure he/she has authorized PalFish to use his/her microphone. • How can I deal with connection error? • Make sure you have connected your device to a stable wifi. You could also try to reconnect your internet • The above FAQ doesn't answer my question. What should I do? • Please message PalFish Team with a screenshot of your situation. If it involves a call with a student, please also include when did the call happen, and the student's username.

PalFish Rules Please pay attention to the following rules. Violation to the rules will result in a penalty. • Profile picture: Please use positive and professional photos as your profile pictures. Teachers are not allowed to use photos of you lying or naked, and photos which do not show your face. If PalFish found your profile photo does not fit the requirement, your account will be suspended. • Sharing WeChat, Skype, GroupMe or other social media information is strictly prohibited. • Sending improper or abusive pictures to students or teachers is strictly prohibited. • Promoting other Apps, which are similar to PalFish, is strictly prohibited. • Using dirty languages is strictly prohibited within the group chat. • Using rude words, ironies to attack other people thereby causing disturbance is strictly prohibited. • PalFish will not endure Sexism, Racism or bias towards the LGBT group. • Earning illegal money is strictly prohibited. PalFish will deduct all the income from teacher's account and the teacher from PalFish forever • Lying about your self-information, using a profile picture that is not you and asking others to record your self-introduction are strictly prohibited. • Interfering PalFish Team members from working and mocking at PalFish Team members are strictly prohibited. • Interfering with other teacher's tuition rate is strictly prohibited. • If there are 3 complaints made by your students you may be banned for a week or longer. • PalFish will evaluate teachers weekly. If your rating is exceptionally low and does not change within 2 week, you might be banned from PalFish. • If you have sold a Lesson and the student could not reach you, you will be banned for a week or longer • Please have a quiet place when teaching, and without distractions. • Please be cautious when you want to talk about some sensitive topics like politics, religion, and history. • It's not allowed to eat or to answer non-emergency calls during lessons. • As much as we respect freedom of speech, we suggest PalFish teachers to mind what you say in the group chat. Please don’t send anything inflammatory or potentially biased. Especially please don’t talk about other teachers tuition rate / nationality or anything personal. PalFish reserves the right to remove teachers from the group, to block teachers from using PalFish permanently and to deduct teachers’ salary if violation has been confirmed.
